METHODOLOGY
Orange Index
The Orange Index distinguishes itself by integrating gender, economic, and climate metrics through sustainable MSME data. It offers a holistic evaluation, emphasizing the interconnectedness of these pillars for a comprehensive understanding of organizational impact.
The Orange Index is built on a comprehensive approach with a multi-centric nexus as its conceptual framework. It encompasses three pillars/sub-indices: Gender, Economic Growth, and Climate. Within each pillar, we consider Equality, Inclusion, Community Well-being, Community Risk Mitigation, Strategy, Environment Risk Mitigation as sub-pillars, creating a balanced evaluation.
After careful review of over 50 indicators, we've distilled the Orange Index to 20 relevant indicators that serve as key building blocks (as detailed in the figure above). It's important to note that the Orange Index is not just a standalone metric; it serves as a gateway to a detailed hierarchical dataset. Moreover, it complements other quantitative and qualitative nexus assessments, offering a richer perspective on organizational impact.
